French toast


-1 loaf of French bread

-1 egg

-1/2 cup milk

-1 tablespoon sugar

-Pinch of salt

-1 tablespoon butter or margarine

-Maple syrup or honey, for serving


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a large baking dish with butter or margarine.

2. Cut the bread into 1″ slices. Whisk together the egg, milk, sugar and salt in a small bowl. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, then place them in the baking dish.

3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Serve with maple syrup or honey.
