Puff fritters


1/2 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 large egg

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon malt vinegar


1. Combine flour and salt in a medium bowl. Mix well.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together sugar, oil, egg and water. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix well.

3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add about 1/4 cup batter to the skillet for each fritter. Cook for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown. Serve hot with malt vinegar on the side for dipping.
