The Trainer Should:

  1. Develop a schedule that considers the time allocated for a specific training lesson and the sequence in the training plan when it should be taught.
  2. Use a task breakdown to identify how a task should be done.
  3. Have all necessary equipment, tools, and materials ready for the training session.
  4. Select and properly arrange the appropriate training location.
  5. Know precisely how to begin the training process.
  6. Identify the tasks that the trainee must learn.
  7. Put the trainee at ease.
  8. Find out what the trainee already knows about the task.
  9. Explain what the trainee should expect to learn in the session.
  10. Set a good example for the trainee.
  11. Explain what’s in it for the trainee.
