Pesto is an Italian sauce, traditionally consists of crushed garlic, European pine nuts, coarse salt, basil leaves and hard cheese such as Parmigiano-Reggiano or pecorino Sardo, all blended with olive oil. Pesto is mainly used in pasta. They are also used in soups, bread, salads, a main course like pesto chicken etc.
Ingredients for 1 kg
- Blanch the herbs in hot water.
- Put all the ingredients in a grinder and grind to a coarse paste
- Store and use as required
