Will doordash deliver to hotel rooms?
Usually yes. They do deliver to hotels. Remember to mention your room number. It’s better you can check with the reception of your hotel, regarding the same – whether they are allowed to deliver to your room. If the hotel refuses, go to the lobby & collect.
The Dashers will deliver your meal in no time. To make the process a little easier on everyone, contact the front desk, or simply hang out in the lobby for a few minutes.
Many hotels don’t allow delivery boys to go to hotel rooms. This is due to safety reasons and also for other guest’s privacy. I personally go with this hotel rule.
- When the delivery boy arrives at reception, the guest should be called and informed for cross verification regarding delivery.
- Bell boy can take the parcel from the delivery boy along with the cheque to guest for collecting payment if it’s not a prepaid order.
- The ID of the delivery boy should be collected at the front desk – if the delivery boy is allowed to go for door delivery.
First of all, as a general rule, if a hotel has its own room service or even dining facilities, then they are usually against ordering from 3rd party.
In some hotels, they say ‘yes’ for delivery. Some hotels even promote delivery services if their dining facility is limited in terms of time (food not available round the clock) or available menu items are limited etc. In such a case, they are often ok with you ordering in from a 3rd party.
