Can someone explain what does guest room supply means, what is carried in the housekeeping trolley is called supplies?
Every item carried in the HK trolley is guest supplies.
In fact, guest room supplies include everything provided to a guest for his/her stay.
This includes all of these …Furniture, Bedding, Bedside Supplies, Bedside Table Supplies, Center Table Supplies, Clothing and Clothing Care, Hospitality Tray, Mini Bar Supplies, Writing Desk Supplies. Bathroom Attachments, Towels, Dustbin, Non-slip Foot-mat, Slippers, Mirror, Hair Dryer, Vanity Tray etc.
@blakefortkochi How does furniture comes under the guest room supply? It’s a fixed asset? HK staff doesn’t supply this?
You r right, many people have the same doubt. HK staff doesn’t supply furniture like the bed as a supply to rooms on a day-to-day basis. Then why is furniture considered as a guest room supply?
Furniture which includes - bed, bedside table, chairs, wardrobe with locker facility, writing table, dressing table, centre table, magazine holder, etc are all placed/supplied in the guest room by housekeeping. All these supplies are under the inventory of HK. It is the responsibility of HK to provide all these supplies to guests.
It’s new info for me too, thanks to @Rajeev
How about Hot water bag, Sewing kit, Iron, Ironing board, Disposable razor, Crib or Cradle, etc.
@mohammed Those are guest room supplies on request…
Thank you all for your time and effort.
@RajivsResidency So which means , there are fixed supplies like furniture and daily supplies like bedsheet, bathroom amenities etc. and supplies on request like crib etc … right ?
