What is bellman in hotel?
Bellman or bellboy is a hotel porter who helps the hotel guests to carry or transport their luggage while checking in or out.
A front office staff who is assigned to help guests with their luggage.
They are also called ‘bellhop’ in North America. They provide guest assistance with luggage, transportation, and miscellaneous needs. Often the first and last person a guest sees while staying at the hotel is the Bellman.
The Bellman or Bellhop was named because they were the person who came when the bell was rang or the person who hopped to help the guest when the bell was rang. It’s kinda funny to see where these names came from.
