Typical rooms expenses are payroll and related expenses like guest room laundry, (terry and linen), guest room supplies ( bath amenities, toilet tissue etc.) , hotel merchandising ( hotel brochure , in-room guest directory, Travel agent or OTA commissions & booking fees, and other miscellaneous expenses.

When the above costs are totalled and divided by the number of occupied rooms, the cost per occupied room is determined.
