PITA BREAD


Dish Name : PITA BREAD

Ingredients for 900 gms dough

Qty Unit Description
0.5 Kg flour
0.02 Kg yeast
0.01 Kg salt
0.025 Ltr olive oil
0.3 Ltr water

Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together except the oil
  2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes until the gluten has formed
  3. Add oil to the dough and knead again until windscreen test. Allow to rest for 20 minutes
    knock back the dough and divide into equal parts of 40 gm each
  4. Rest again for about 20 minutes
  5. Roll each into a size of chapati and bake at oven preset at 250ºC
  6. Then take it out, cut it from the center and make a pocket in which filling can be filled
