Does your hotel charge guests for mailing lost & found items?

I’ve checked out the SOP on Lost & Found here, but it didn’t mention anything regarding the cost of returning the items, so I was wondering what your hotels do? Thx!

Yes, the cost for returning the items is normally billed to the guest.

Unless, the postage is very nominal charges or a special decision is taken by the Exe. housekeeper to wave off the charges or a limit is set by the management for the same.

So not even mailing costs are charged?

@ramynabil postage/mailing charges are definitely billed to the guest.

I don’t think any overseas mailing charges will be waived by the hotel, May be for inland mailing only.
