No. Hotel rooms cannot have a camera. It’s illegal. Only public areas can have a camera. Placing a camera inside a hotel room is a criminal offense.
Placing cameras in toilets, bedrooms and other places where people are assumed to have privacy, irrespective of whether the recorded footage is used or not, could be considered a criminal act as per law.
A hotel can place a camera in the corridor leading to the room, but not inside the room.
Even banquet halls should not have a camera. Banquet rooms are considered to have private functions or conferences, which should have their privacy.
